  2. peaches6 Says:

There's only one way we're going to find out and that's when 2012 gets here.

  3. Deedee Says:

No, that sounds retarded. They said something like that when we go to 2000 too, but we are here still aren't we?

  4. J O K E R Says:

    i cant wait till December 22 2012..
Im so going to rub it in people faces..

  5. Unrelenting Optimist Says:

I don't think it will happen but I wouldn't mind being wrong. In fact, i'm dying to be wrong.

  6. raina_vissora Says:

Well… first off, 2012 has zero to do with anything Nostradamus predicted.

All the 2012 hoopla stems from the fact that the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar occurs on Dec. 12, 2012, and by Mayan beliefs, the end of a cycle marks a great change in mankind's existence. Some people interpret this as the apocalypse (despite the fact that we're current IN the 13th cycle, so obviously, nothing has happened the previous 12 times it ended).

  7. tick tock Says:

what exactly are you talking about?

Nostrildamus never mumbled ANYTHING about 2012.

check out any of his "translators"… PRIOR to 1999.

Nostrildamus said the world will end in 3797, according to them.

  8. n2s.astronomy Says:

The whole 2012 thing is a fraud. Any of us may kick the bucket at any time. But, whatever happens in 2012 will have nothing to do with Mayans, Nostradamus (how did he get wrapped up in this mess?), Rogue planets, dwarf stars, comets, or anything else the History Channel has connected to 2012.

There is a higher probability that the entire planet is infested, and overrun, by StarTrek Tribbles, then the rest of this stuff. At least that would be a lot more fun. Tribbles work great for Skeet Practice.

  9. pinkisluv91 Says:

yes, i have seen so much abt it. Go to history channel right now. I am watching it and i am scared. i wish it doesn't happen but everyone is saying it will. Sorry!! Well atleast we know when we will die. So pray all you can maybe god will save u!!

  10. Geoff G Says:

I don't know what you're talking about. Or, more correctly, I think you don't know what you're talking about. Nostradamus died in 1566. He made no predictions regarding 2012. Ancient prophesies have absolutely NO relevance to modern astronomy or space studies, so this question doesn't belong here.

Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, other than the solstice, which happens every year.

None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.

All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!

  11. Raymond Says:

From what I understand "Nostradamus 2012" did happen (the fake documentary WAS shown on TV).

However, since Nostradamus never made any predictions for 2012 (not real ones — the ones used in the TV show were all invented well after his death), then I guess "nothing" will happen to match what Nostradamus "wrote" about 2012 (since he wrote "nothing" about 2012).

  12. Dave M Says:

Nostradamus did not predict the end of the world to be 2012 like what people say. he did ,however, predict that a large meteor MIGHT collide with Earth. There is in fact an impending meteor, but NASA is now preparing plans to deal with it.

NASA plans to swing the meteor out of the way with a satellite that will propel the meteor off of it's current trajectory. but honestly i bet they can do something even better than that when the time comes!

    Don't worry about it ;P

and tick toc…just so you know, N-Dawg predicted the world would end in the year 3017, not 3798.

  13. Logan N Says:

Don't believe everything you see on the History Channel. They love to pander to conspiracy and doomsday woosters.

  15. davehuckleberry_55 Says:

The idea that the Earth will in 2012 comes from the 5,000 year old Mayan Calendar. This calendar does not at all predict the end of the World. What is going to happen is that this calendar will merely repeat itself and its essence is condensed below.
This is the cycle of a new humanity: of peace, harmony, balance, knowledge and the kingdom of wisdom, the return to the Original Law, to the basic, to the harmony with Mother Earth, the encounter with ourselves. This cycle begins on December 21 of 2012.

  17. bikenbeer2000 Says:

Here's a list of things that won't happen in 2012, particularly December 21st:
    Planetary alignments: There aren't any.
Alignment of Sun with centre of galaxy: Can't happen because the centre of the galaxy is not in the plane of the Earth's orbit.
Once in 26,000 year alignment of the solstice sun and galactic equator: Happened in 1998. Did anything happen as a result? Of course not. Alignments mean nothing in measurable physical terms anyway.
Passing of the Solar System through the galactic central plane: Won't happen for 30 million years or so.
Planet X/Nibiru: Doesn't exist. If it was the size the claimants describe and following the trajectory they indicate, it would now be visible to anybody with a pair of binoculars.
Pole shift: Magnetic pole reversal takes thousands of years and may not start for thousands of years. There is no reason to link it with 2012. As for rotational pole shift, that would take a huge amount of force on the earth. Where is this force going to come from?
Solar storms: The Sun is due to reach a maximum in its 11 year cycle in 2011. No reason to suppose the next peak will be any more energetic than normal.
26,000 year precessional movement of Earth's axis: Doesn't 'begin', 'end' or 'wobble' but carries on smoothly and unnoticed by all.
The doomsday cranks like to tell us that lots of other cultures predicted the end of the world for this date. That and 'predictions' by the Bible, I Ching and Nostradamus have all been contrived to agree wth this date and are all false.

  18. Trace Says:

"Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." – Ephesians 3:21

Ecclesiastes 1:4 "A generation goes and a generation comes, But the earth remains forever."

"He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." – Psalm 104:5

Obviously, the above 3 Bible verses contradict the idea of the end of the world that so many Christians promote. Most of them have read these verses many times but it just doesn't stick. There is no end of time predicted by the Bible prophets or Jesus, only the "time of the end." And that was the end of an age, namely, the old covenant world and temple which was catastrophically destroyed by AD70. The "elements that melted in fervent heat" were not the elements of the planet, but the elements of a system, the rudiments of old covenant law… which did melt in the fire during the Roman invasion of Jerusalem. (elements: #4747 in Strong's Concordance)

The Mayan calendar is precise, and their 13th baktun cycle does end on Dec. 21, 2012, but that's not to say a new cycle won't begin, especially in light of the above Scriptures. The earth has renewed itself over and over again, and will continue to throughout time. None of us stay here forever though, so the key is to trust God, and use your time here on earth wisely.

  20. Spiritual Paradigm Shift Says:

Winter solstice 2012 is just the revealing of the 'antichrist' or the 'man of perdition' at the mid-point of what Christians call the 7 year Tribulation (just subtract 1260 days to get the start and add 1260 days to get the end). Satanists and many pagan cultures from every corner of the world all throughout history have celebrated this like the Sumerians, Babylonians, Cherokee, Hopi, Chinese I-Ching (confirmed by Terence McKenna), Mayans (Pacal Votan; Chilam Balam of Tizimin, Mani, Chumayel; Jaguar Prophet), Egyptians, Celts, etc. This evil event is called "the abomination that causes desolation" that will be set up in the Jewish Temple's Holy of Holies when the antichrist is imbued with the spirit of satan himself. When will Jesus come? Only God Himself knows exactly, but very soon in "the twinkling of an eye" and like "a thief in the night". If you believe or not, that is up to you; either way it still comes.

Things to look for to PROVE it to yourself soon:

Christians look forward to this as it means they will soon join their Saviour & Redeemer in the Millennial Kingdom of the next Age and their Heavenly Father later as "Children of Light". If you try to equate 2012 with Y2K or some other date that cried wolf, then you will be making the worst mistake of your lifetime. Research all these things FOR YOURSELF!

Well i hope it does not happen but you have to figure that they have predicted this a lot of times and one day they'll have to be right trust me i hope all those guys are dead wrong but we'll have to wait to find out.
