Posted in End of the World on July 18th, 2010 by RoswellUFOs.comI am confused because his prophesies don't go beyond 3797 but many people say that he prophesied the end of the world in 2012

3797. The 2012 date is from the Mayan calendar.

I think the 2012 thing is supposed to be an event where we can look back and say that it was turning point for humankind, or something like that.

2012, in both Nostradamus' prophecies and the Mayan calendar, is seen as the date of great spiritual change, enlightenment, and evolution. No one ever said that it meant the world was going to end… just that it would be a step forward, in the right direction of mankind. It's supposed to be a positive change, but there could be a lot of catastrophic happenings when it occurs. The outcome is supposed to be beautiful.

Nostradamus believed the world would end in 3797 or 3786 (depeding on who you ask of course.) The Mayans' calender ends on 2012. It perhaps means the world ends, or a new world of change begins.
