Alright so I was just thinking about it…..the mayan calender is so old! they used it even before jesus was born and is probly way behind or ahead of us using this "mayan calender". We base our calender on when Jesus died. so I want to know,how can it be 2012 when the mayan calender is way behind or ahead of us,no doubt?

Nostradamus, what's-his-face and some other dudes…whatever, everyone always superjocks these guys for vague "prophecies".

So I was thinking. There was this one saint that like, predicted all of the popes and special things about them. His list of popes, naturally has an end to it, which is sometime in the near future, maybe.

Instead of the end of the world, like so many people want to assume.
What if the church just ends?

As society becomes more and more advanced, fewer people look towards religion. As things become explainable, people are less hasty to just answer "because God wants it that way." I think that the church is going to slowly disappear because man will be able to explain many more mysteries. We're beyond the days of wondering where the eff a baby comes from.

End of popes = end of the world?

I personally believe God's Church must continue to the end. i do not believe these are the end times, though it may be possible.

hey guys! i just think this whole "world will end in 2012" is mind bobbling. i just wanted to here from your opinions of what you think and provide details. how could or couldnt it happened? so maybe just provide some details and other stuff supporting your answer. heres a summery of what i think. i understand some type of plate shifting will happen but i really don't know anything about that but heres what i do know. if that strange planet thingy, Nibiru is supposed to crash into us and it is supposably "jupiter" and its 5 times bigger then earth and its "orbiting towards us right now" why can't we see it? and i know the mayan calender will end but who said OURS will. maybe they all just never finished it. sometimes i just get really scared of this thought of the world ending. i mean yes i know it will end, but….2012? i will still be very young and not even in my 20s. what about our parents? i can just picture the horrors of that day and it scares me. what about all the newborns that were just born before it happened. i really dont want a just "no" answer. please provide details because there needs to be a reason you think that.

I just caught a commercial of the up & coming show, i'm defintly checkin that out- Who was the author of the book? i might go up to the horizon bookstore and snag a copy.

I've heard rumors that the world is going to end in December 2012? How accurate are these predictions? Anyone familiar with any other Nostradamus predictions?

There was a thing on the history channel talking about a "lost book" with an illustration of a scorpio, our galaxy, and the year 2012. They said that it was weird that in the 14th century our galaxy had a spiral shaped core because there had been no telescopes existing at that time….Also something about other "Doomsday Prophecies" being in 2012…
