What will the Dark Rift do to Earth?

At 11:11 (I forget if it's AM or PM, that's something else I want answered) on December 21st, 2012, the Earth and Sun will be in alignment with the black hole in the center of the Milky Way.

But what will this do to the world? I know there are theories, like a Pole Shift, or Aliens coming to Earth, but has NASA ever said anything regarding what might happen?

Nothing will happen that has not already occurred. The pole is already shifting and it has been over a period of many years!

Doubtful that it will have any effect. NASA hasn't released anything that i am aware of though.

None of this is valid. There is no alignment, no black hole shift, no dark rift, no pole changes, nothing.

Nothing is going to happen on December 21, 2012 that doesn't happen on every single December 21. The sun gets to within 5 degrees of the center of the Milky Way galaxy, NOT aligned by the width of almost 9 full moons at perigee. This happens every year on December 21. You can go outside right now and look at the Dark Rift yourself by looking south at the constellation Sagittarius, if you don't have too much light pollution. The dark rift in the Milky Way is quite obvious when your eyes have fully dark adjusted.

Nothing, black holes contain no more mass than the star that they formed from and therefore exert no more gravitational force. The only difference is that the mass occupies a smaller area. It doesn't matter whether the earth is aligned with it or not, it will make no difference as we are simply too far away to have any catastrophic effects from it.

    >like a Pole Shift<
This annoys me as it can refer to one of two things, it can either be referring to an actual pole shift in which the earth's crust physically rotates around the core, which has not been proven to ever occur in a catastrophic sense. Alternatively it's referring to a geomagnetic reversal which is 1) Called a geomagnetic reversal, NOT a pole shift and 2) Not by any means a catastrophic event.
