Is there any scientific proof regarding Nibiru and 2012?
Tags: 2012, Nibiru, proof, regarding, scientific, there
Posted in Nibiru on August 6th, 2010 by RoswellUFOs.comLike, has NASA or any astronomers actually detected a large mass that is moving towards our solar system? Or is it all just a bunch of BS?
Like, it seems the Becklin-Neugebauer Object fits the description of a possible Nibiru.

Not only "no," but "phuque no."

It's just a bunch of BS.
The object you cite is one that some people have tried to CALL Nibiru, but it is nowhere near the solar system. It's like thousands of light years away and it is not a planetary type of object.
Nibiru fans have also claimed that some of the recent indirect discoveries of planets around other stars, or the occasional little dwarf planet we may discover could be Nibiru. None of those will come anywhere near the inner solar system.
Nibiru is a myth postulated by the fraud and media opportunist, Zechariah Sitchin. He said it would be here in 2003. Oops! Well, so they just push it back to 2012 to ride on the coattails of that nonsense.

The name "Nibiru" was used by Sumerians (3000 years ago), as one of the names for the planet we call Jupiter. It is already inside the solar system and it is definitely not coming this way. Not in 2012, not ever.
Nibiru (as a fictitious planet) was invented in the 1960s by Zecharia Sitchin to support his "theory" that we were created to be slaves for aliens living on that planet (called Nibiru). On a very strange orbit, Nibiru would come close to Earth every 3700 years. Then, the inhabitants would come here and collect the gold we are supposedly mining for them; they need the gold in order to survive.
In Z's story, Nibiru does not return until the year 2085.
Zecharia was, at the time, working on translating Sumerian documents; that is where he got the idea for the name of the planet and for the name of its inhabitants. Z is a translator, not an astronomer.

Nibiru became connected to the Big 2012 Hoax (without Z's permission) in late 2003 or early 2004, thanks to charlatans who had, previously, invented Planet X to explain their prediction that the world would end in… June 2003.
They had a book for sale on how to survive the passage of Planet X.
After 2003, they noticed that some of us managed to survive without buying their book. So they created a new book, made up a new end-of-the-world date and then invented all the "Ancient Prophesies" connected to that new date. None of these prophesies existed before 2003 (otherwise, they would have contradicted their 2003 prediction).
—
So:
– we know Nibiru does not exist (the one connected to the Big 2012 Hoax);
– we know that it was not due to return before 2085
– we know that no one has observed it
– we know that there is no such planet in or near the solar system (otherwise, the orbits of the smaller planets like Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury could not be as regular as they are)
—
The Becklin-Neugebauer Object has a mass 15 times that of our entire solar system. If there were such an object anywhere within a light-year of our solar system, even the Sun's orbit would have been disrupted a long time ago.
The object's effect on the planetary orbits would be such that ALL planets would be on extremely eccentric orbit. Life would be impossible everywhere and, in fact, it could not even have started anywhere.
If such an object was anywhere close to us, our infra-red telescopes would be flooded with so much infrared light that we would have had to build shields to protect them when they were observing in that direction.
—
What you are describing is closer to another fictitious object, the brown dwarf Nemesis, from a theory that was abandoned in the 1990s. Nemesis does not exist.
If it did, it would be much brighter in infrared, to our telescopes, than the actual Becklin-Neugebauer Object in Orion, 1500 light-years away.

Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for the conspiracy theories, it's all a bunch of BS. There is no large mass moving towards our Solar System.
Sorry!

Absolute 100% BS.
'2012' is just the 'Millenium' of an old Mayan calender, and the
Mayans didn't expect the world to end.
"Niburu" is an old hoax reheated to take advantage of the 2012 hype.
Surf Youtube for laughs if you wish, but don't take it seriously.

No.
Here is also what NASA thinks about the 2012 End of the World scenario: http://pwg.gsfc.nasa.gov/stargaze/StarFAQ18.htm#q306
These predictions are scare tactics, conspiracy theories, and chances to make money from books and movies.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.
"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)
Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.
For more information, about what Catholics believe about the end of the world, see: http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/ac0993.asp
With love in Christ.
