I can't wait 2 get our new more spiritual bodies on December 21, 2010!

   How come these great scientist forgets to mention the greatest contribution of India to Astronomy and mathematics.
   There is only one ancient civilization in which they came close to modern scientific numbers of evolution

   My borther is somewhat paranoid about 2012. My plans for Dec. 20th is to stay up late with my son watching movies and playing on the internet. The sleep in. There are too many things that humans are fearful of: riding the subway, riding in a plane, home invasions, living in the wrong neighborhood, fears that your child is safe at school. I refuse to be afraid of a date. If it happens, my son and I will be sleeping in. If we wake up, then I will cook brunch.

    people have been talking about the end of the world since the death of Jesus, and if there is a change why can't it be a good change? why does everything have to happen on our really small world in such a BIG galaxy lol…it's funny, but the mayans really were a amazing people!

    Search "forgotten research book of nostradamus". This "newly discovered" book is a hoax and the whole video on History Channel is based upon it. Its worthless to watch.

    @halas1 But the Hopi indians and the sumerians did as well as the web bot project and you say the chinese didn't mention 2012 well what about the I ching?
    and this is not based on the people that didn't mention 2012 but those that did. It's well documented that the mayans were much more advanced than anyone else when it came to predicting astronomical events such as eclipses or comets far into the future.

    @raybinns Yes! Exactly! See this guy is smart. The Chinese and Muslims, Avid astronomers and some of the most technologically advanced people of the time of the Mayans, also had calendars and they did not mention an apocalyptic event in 2012.

    How the fuck do we know it will be a positive or negative impact? It only states that a major event will occur. It mentioned the Neolithic Revolution occurred when the Galactic Alignment occurred; which was a Positive Impact. And Nostradamus was not there to predict that event. Think logically here people. There is no true axiomatic proof or reason behind this theory.

    @144000hebrews I think a geography lesson is long overdue for you mate the UK is not the same place as spain we don't even speak the same language and even if we did that was hundreds of years ago you don't honestly think anybody who is alive today is responsible for killing the Mayans do you?     I've never heard such a shit explanation in my life. Do you think there was only 1 calendar? or maybe you think it was just 1 dude making all the calendars…I think if people like this were calling the shots it would be a fucking miracle if we made it to 2012.
