so if "2012" did happen what do u think would be the cause of it and what would happen to the world?
iv heard of lots of different stuff like: Pole shift, Planet Nibiru, the fall of america and WW3, the toxic oil chemicals and dispersant to create new diseases "zombies"??? so yah im just wondering what do u think will happen if anything does

I need some intelligent minds to help me figure this out.
I seriously,dont know what will happen.
The facts – Mayan's Calendar ends in December 21st, 2012.
It has to end once. They are an extinct civilization. It wont last till 1050205 year.
Nostradamus, he was a fake. He took quotes,from dozens of other cultist books,and copied them into his,making a "Prophecies" book. Mostly,there are 2 ways you can look at this.
Scientific look: Pole Shifting, Supernovas, "The Planet Alignment",etc.
Religious look: God created us all,and only he knows the end of the world.
This is a quote from the bible,which i believe we should all know,by observing the 2012.
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid…for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” And , "Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."

Nothing, the calender is offset by about 50 years.

I just posted this answer and it got no thumbs up, and two thumbs down, so I figured I'd post it again in the form of a question and provide a little educational background to 2012 junkies.

OK, look. Since I have nothing better to do, I'll tell you a little story. Once upon a time, the Mayans created a calendar that is similar to ours in many ways, and predicted the time pretty accurately.

They believed that by December 21, 2012 (by the Gregorian calendar), that their calendar will have become useless and we'd revert back to "natural time," which is indeed a much better calendar than what we use now.

They never said, or thought, that the world would end. This was merely a date they set for people to start using a more functional time system.

Other people have said that Nostradamus had predicted the same date, but we all know how incredibly vague and unreliable his "prophecies" are. The quotes in question make no mention about the date.

We can also predict that civil services like police, fire departments and even the military may be of no help. Because of this, it is important for every person who wants to survive 2012 to learn how to take care of themselves.

Food. You should store canned food and water in case of food shortages. In case the catastrophe should last for many years, learn also how to secure your own food by identifying edible plants, farming and hunting.

Protection. Although it is a grim situation that no one wants to imagine, we must realize that there may be no protection for our families. It would be a good idea to have firearms and know how to use them. You should also live in an area that is easy to

protect and can be a safe refuge.

First Aid. Get a first aid kit and learn how to use it. Learn as many life-saving techniques as you possibly can.

Finally, gather all of your family together before the fateful day. There may be no way to communicate over long distances and this blackout may last for years.

We don't know exactly what will happen in 2012, but the least we can do is be prepared. Start learning whatever survival skills you can now while there is still time. This may be what saves you and your family when the changes come.

No one disagrees that the Mayan calendar ends – for what ever reason – in December of the year 2012. Some day its December 21st and some say its December 23rd.

Anyway, did the Mayans actually tell us what would happen when their calendar ends?

I don't get it. But it is very interesting.

The mayan calendar ends in december 2012 at the exact same time the the winter solstice begins. The Hopi Indian tribes have some interesting things to say about this incident and the previous 3 times it has happened to our planet. Could it possibly be a complete polar shift as our galaxy moves into a particular allignment in its universal rotation around the supermassive black hole at the center(ie… the planet must magnetical realign by shifting its axis 180 degrees as it moves to the other side of the "universal magnet" or something else)…any input appreciated

In 12/21/12, the world will end. wtf. i have watch 2012 doomsday movie and it was a ok movie but i dont think it will happen in real life. in school my religion teacher said if this will happen, God will fullfil the earth and its creation. She said that one day Jesus will come and fullfil. I don't believe in the 2012 conspiracy. in the movie it feels like the birth of Jesus Christ again. it surprises me that Jesus will save us once again. in all the events that happen in the movie cant happen in real ife. in terminator 3 the movie ends in a nuclear missiles impacts, this is similar to 2012 doomsday because its near the time of 2012. all the climate changes and global warmings are all cause by pollutions. in 2012 NASA says their will be changes to our earth. that is reason but the doomsday thing is nothing but fake. i dont believe in 2012 doomsday. do you believe in 2012?
