These days it is hard to escape talk of a coming 2012 Doomsday. Countless documentaries have been produced on the subject for cable television, a blockbuster film was produced to capitalize off of it, and even former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura dedicated an episode of his Conspiracy Theory TV show to this topic. Just what is this phenomenon all about? According to self proclaimed experts on the subject, the world will undergo a series of cataclysmic events on or leading up to the date of December 21, 2012. The following will provide you with a brief overview of subject.

First of all, where did the idea of the world ending on the specific date of a 2012 doomsday come from? While this belief can be traced back to several belief systems, the specific date is given to us by the Mayan Long Count Calendar. This is basically the last day of a lunar cycle that has been going on for the past 5,125 years. There is much debate over what the intentions of the Maya were in regards to their calendar.

There are several theories about the different types of events that will be expected to occur on the 2012 doomsday as well as leading up to it. Some groups believe that it will literally be the end of the world, while others state that it will merely be the beginning of a new era with mankind undergoing an evolution in spiritual consciousness. Different theories include solar flares that cut out the electricity grid, collision with a lost planet (referred to as Nibiru), and even the possibility of a black hole.

The New Age religion also has a significant voice in the 2012 doomsday debate, with many of the books on the subject being penned by New Age authors. One of the more commonly predicted events for this date by the New Age movement is what is known as Galactic Alignment. This is a theory that was largely asserted by John Major Jenkins during the 1990s. In Western astrology, this would be the signal for the end of the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius.

Some of the more esoteric theories about this date including crop circles, alien abductions, and contact with sprits which are presented by authors such as Daniel Pinchbeck. Meanwhile, the mainstream media outlets such as the History Chanel continue to promote a more apocalyptic vision of the end of the world. The channel has created roughly half a dozen documentaries on the subject, many of which use characters such as John Major Jenkins as a source.

What the bible says about the end times is a debated topic among christians. The 2012 bible prophecy is the name many people use to describe the upcoming end times, because they use some of the many predictions for 2012 as reason for this being the case (along with the bible of course). In this article I will give my views on the 2012 bible prophecy and the end times.

There are many signs of the end times and the 2012 bible prediction being true, and here are some of them:

- Atheism is gaining in popularity, and if this keeps up then the church will fall.

- The world is uniting, and there is a high likelihood of a third world war. Many people believe the US government is plotting a one world order.

- The bible code, an algorithm for finding hidden messages in the bible, predicts the end of the world in 2012. The bible code has proven accurate many times, the most famous time being the prediction of the death of the israeli politician and former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin.

- The amount of great earthquakes has increased dramatically since the mid 90s. In the bible it says that the amount of earthquakes will increase in the end times. This is yet another important 2012 bible prophecy sign.

- Many 2012 theories and signs like 2012 crop circles, the polar shift, Nostradamus prophecies and more further supports the 2012 bible prophecy.

The falling of the church and unification of the world are signs of the end days according to the bible. The bible doesn't mention the year 2012, but by comparing what is described in the bible to what is happening right now, in addition to all the other 2012 prophecies, there is a great chance that something huge is going to happen.

They also came to understand the 20-day energy cycle coming from the Sun.

Nostradamus 2012 Prophecy ? What Will Come To Pass?

The difficult thing with Nostradamus 2012 Doomsday Prophecy and all his other prophecies too for that matter, is that they are made in a kind of poetic verse called Quatrains. And making it trickier still they use metaphorical language to describe what he sees happening in the future – which naturally are open to interpretation. However some of his predictions are eerily close – for instance he called Adolf Hitler ‘Hister’ and named York as the city where the two towers would burn – referring to it as a ‘New’ city. The death of Princess Diana was another very specific prediction – he used her exact name. Others are not so clear, and are only obvious in hind-sight when the event has taken place.

So for now the jury is still out over exactly what the Nostradamus 2012 Prophecy actually means – other than it will be linked with the emergence of the Third Antichrist’ in the Middle East and probably involves nuclear weapons.  But if what Nostradamus predicts comes true in 2012, a global nuclear war could easily wipe out whole countries and billions of people all over the world in a matter of a few weeks.

The good news is that nuclear war, even on a massive scale, is survivable if you do what you need to do now to protect your family.
The lesson of Nostradamus 2012 Doomsday Prophecy is that we must start preparing now, even if it is a case of preparing for the worst, while hoping for the best. And when you look back on Nostradamus frankly astonishing record or predicting the future, preparing for something very bad indeed seems like a very smart thing to do.
