Alright so I was just thinking about it…..the mayan calender is so old! they used it even before jesus was born and is probly way behind or ahead of us using this "mayan calender". We base our calender on when Jesus died. so I want to know,how can it be 2012 when the mayan calender is way behind or ahead of us,no doubt?

hey guys! i just think this whole "world will end in 2012" is mind bobbling. i just wanted to here from your opinions of what you think and provide details. how could or couldnt it happened? so maybe just provide some details and other stuff supporting your answer. heres a summery of what i think. i understand some type of plate shifting will happen but i really don't know anything about that but heres what i do know. if that strange planet thingy, Nibiru is supposed to crash into us and it is supposably "jupiter" and its 5 times bigger then earth and its "orbiting towards us right now" why can't we see it? and i know the mayan calender will end but who said OURS will. maybe they all just never finished it. sometimes i just get really scared of this thought of the world ending. i mean yes i know it will end, but….2012? i will still be very young and not even in my 20s. what about our parents? i can just picture the horrors of that day and it scares me. what about all the newborns that were just born before it happened. i really dont want a just "no" answer. please provide details because there needs to be a reason you think that.

I've heard rumors that the world is going to end in December 2012? How accurate are these predictions? Anyone familiar with any other Nostradamus predictions?

There was a thing on the history channel talking about a "lost book" with an illustration of a scorpio, our galaxy, and the year 2012. They said that it was weird that in the 14th century our galaxy had a spiral shaped core because there had been no telescopes existing at that time….Also something about other "Doomsday Prophecies" being in 2012…

Everyday, in the Astronomy and Space section, the "2012" question increases as every day. Will there be an ending in this question. Will this question be kept asked until December 20, 2012? How do I control my anger by then to any of the people who believe the world will end in 2012..?

He never placed a time on any prediction. That is why every prediction is "said to have been accurate". If you wait long enough in this world everything will eventually happen. i've heard all kinds of things about this december 21,2012 end of the world thing, where the mayans predicted the world would end. people are scared to death, as am i if it is in fact true, however, nobody has said exactly what will be the cause of the end of the world. will it be hit by an asteroid, or what? has anyone heard what is supposed to happen? do you think mankind should worry? whats your opinions on the whole theory?

The world will not end around this time in fact the earth is not truly affected but man will be. Usually the concerns are that man will have a great war that will destroy us which is World War III

Sorry, I love hearing people's views on this.

I don't see why people are freaking out about this "Nostradamus 2012," Planet X (Nibiru) stuff. One, if the worlds gonna end… IT'S GONNA END. Do you actually think we could even attempt to stop it? I'm Catholic, but even if you're not, you can't disagree that if God (or someone who could possibly be as powerful as God, depending on your religious views) wills the end of the world, it's coming no matter what.
What I'm really getting at though is this Mayan calender stuff. December 21, 2012 is supposedly said to mark the end of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calender. This, being said, is the speculated date the world is going to end. But, chew on this for a moment:

THE MAYAN CALENDER IS REPRESENTED BY A CIRCLE.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but a circle is infinite… there is no end to it. The most this could be is the end of a VERY long year for the Mayans, and their descendants should be flipping out because they have to go buy another 36,000 year calender.

I've heard very little about this, but I think the world will not end in 2012. c: And if it does, that's okay cause I'd have to die eventually anyways. So whatever.
